At least two new ideas I learned about Ancient Roman Life were:
1. For breakfast the lower class ate bread dipped in wine, with water. The upper class ate fresh meat, fish, fruit, and vegetables.
2. Children of the upper class were expected to wait on their parents during meals.
3. The lower class had a system similar to the welfare system of today. This meant that they were able to eat certain things, and buy certain things with passes from the government, even thought they did not have money.

I used a link provided on Wikispace, which then had several sub topics to choose from/click on. Then, for example, "Dinner" would be underlined, which when clicked on, led me to a page filled with information on that particular subtopic.

To find my information I clicked on a link titled "Ancient Rome for Kids". I considered this site to be reliable not only because it made by a teacher, Mr. Donn, but because it contained information including the author, copyright dates, and stated that the website was also published. This site included several features that were appropriate. Not only was it easy for children to navigate through the different topics, but it was well organized. The organization of the site made it simple for children to understand the topic they were reading about, and included information that they could also relate to. The pictures used were also a nice gesture to help a child remember what specific topic they were reading about.
